The Project
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage designation of the site “Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato”, formules has studied three types of long-term impacts of this recognition: social impact, economic impact, and communication impact.
The Impacts
The study aims to answer three research questions, both qualitatively and quantitatively: whether and how the inclusion has influenced the opinions, perceptions, and decisions of various local stakeholders; whether and how the trends of the main economic and employment indicators have changed in the areas included within the site's perimeter, and how much wealth the recognition has brought to the territory; finally, what effect the designation has had on the reputation, notoriety, and tourist attractiveness of the Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont, thanks to the media visibility obtained following the UNESCO designation.
